HOW ARE YOU USING YOUR TONGUE?!

Proverbs 18:21; "Death and life ARE in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."

This means that we literally shape our environment by our confession. What we say is what we get. When we speak life, we get life because our words line up with our creators words.

1. This causes a reaction in His dimension as well as ours: 1 Timothy 6:12; “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.”

We must speak words and pray what lines up with the Word of YAHWEH for our lives. But we can change the climate of our lives by simply confessing what YAHWEH has already pronounced to us. Death is in the power of the tongue and works just like life does. When we speak words that line up with what the enemy desires for us, we get that as well. In order for the devil to access our words, we must first have an issue going on in our heart. The bible tells us that out of what's going on in our hearts, our mouth speaks. This means that our hearts condition dictates our words.

1. So, we must guard our hearts and keep them clean in order to repair our speech:

• Proverbs 4:23; “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it ARE the issues of life.”

It's important for us to keep our hearts submitted to YAHWEH so that we don't speak the wrong things.

1. The enemy is waiting to hear his words in our mouth so we can alter our realm and speak curses instead of blessings: Proverbs 15:4; “A wholesome tongue IS A TREE OF LIFE: BUT PERVERSENESS THEREIN IS a breach in the spirit.”

The devil has power when we give him power.

1. He can invade our mind, body, and spirit if we allow him access: Matthew 16:23; “But he turned, and said unto Peter, get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of GOD, but those that be of men.”

Our words create an atmosphere for death or life to manifest. Speaking negatively about certain things can change our lives.

1. The enemy desires to make us speak what his agenda is so it can have power in our realm: James 3:6; “And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.”

We know he comes to destroy YAHWEH's plan for us, but he needs our cooperation. We must agree with him in order for his plan to become ours.

1. This is done by speaking his words instead of the Words of YAHWEH over our lives:

• Matthew 15:11; “Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.”

The power of the tongue is the Hebrew word Yad, which means "hand."

The hand of our tongue shapes our environment. This can have great or grave consequences when used or misused. When we speak life over our marriages, children, etc. we have completed the first step in securing what YAHWEH has entrusted us with. But when we speak death in these instances, we are giving the enemy room to work in our lives.

1. Many times we are dealing with our own words coming back to haunt us because of the way we have been communicating in our homes or with our family:

• Matthew 12:34; “O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”

Some things we say we can never take back. Even though we are forgiven for it by YAHWEH, we are chastened for it by the consequence. The problem with most folk’s lives is that they have shaped it based on their own words and not YAHWEH's words.

1. When we live based on our "opinion" then we are really living based on whatever has shaped our opinion: Isaiah 55:8; “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.”

The definition of opinion is: the beliefs or views of a large number or majority of people about a particular thing. When we line our opinion up based on what others are doing with their lives, then we live our lives based on others.

1. This is walking by sight and not faith: 2 Corinthians 5:7; “For we walk by faith, not by sight.”

This makes it hard for YAHWEH to work on us and conform us to His biblical plan for us.

1. This is what makes hearing truth so hard for people these days: John 8:43; “Why do ye not understand my speech? Even because ye cannot hear my word.”

Our society seeks to push the opinion of people above YAHWEH's plan for people. This causes chaos so they can bring order. It's a simple plan and it's working in the lives of so many.

1. People sit back and process the bible, YAHWEH's plan, and spiritual things of YAHWEH through their opinion and kick out what they don't like and keep what they like: 2 Timothy 3:16; “All scripture is given by inspiration of GOD, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of GOD may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

Social networks and other media outlets were created to enhance the opinion of the people to form anarchy. They desire to make the opinion of man greater than YAHWEH's plan for man. This is why it's so hard for many to buy into the Plan of YAHWEH for their lives.

1. So, they put their own opinion or words before truth and satisfy their will by taking bits of truth and not all of it: 1 Kings 22:6; “Then the king of Israel gathered the prophets together, about four hundred men, and said unto them, Shall I go against Ramoth-Gilead to battle, or shall I forbear? And they said, Go up; for the LORD shall deliver it into the hand of the king.”

1. They reject the prophet that speaks truth and desire to sit under the preacher that gives them what they want to hear: 1 Kings 22:7; “And Jehoshaphat said, Is there not here a prophet of the LORD besides that we might inquire of him? And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said; Let not the king say so.”

They believe in eating the meat and spitting out the bones under the guise of "no one being perfect."

So, since no one is perfect, they feel that everyone's opinion is valid. We can't speak death and expect life. We can't speak negatively and expect positivity. We can't say one thing and expect another. We have power in this realm and when it is mishandled, it can destroy our future. We must make sure that we are speaking what YAHWEH is speaking. Our words and prayers must line up with what YAHWEH has said and is saying above. In order for His will to be done in earth, our will must coincide with His.

1. When we verbally come into agreement with the Plan of YAHWEH for us, we will begin to see his plan come to past: Proverbs 18:20; “A man’s belly shall be satisfied with the fruit of his mouth; AND with the increase of his lips shall he be filled.”

Jezebel incited Ahab and ruled his Kingdom through him. She manipulated his emotions and because she ursurped authority over him, she desired that all of YAHWEH’s authority be undermined and her way become THE way.

1. Because Ahab was weak, instead of putting her in her place, he decided to just change his place: 1Kings 21:25; “But there was none like unto Ahab, which did sell himself to work wickedness in the sight of the LORD, whom Jezebel his wife stirred up.”

Her undermining of YAHWEH’s true prophet caused him to lose faith in YAHWEH’s prophets, so he began to surround himself with those that would build him up instead of tell him the truth. This is how our churches look today. We don’t have many men that will stand up for the truth but instead they are emasculated by their women and he-motional. This causes the women to lead and rule the home and the church through the man. In order for this to look right, they must surround themselves with people and preachers that will validate their opinion rather than tell the truth. They believe, because no one is perfect, we should all have our opinions validated by others instead of heeding to the order of YAHWEH and his plan for us all. Was Paul perfect?

Was John or Peter perfect?

What about Moses?

Do we eat the meat and spit out the bones of the bible?

This is the precise reason YAHWEH used MEN to write the bible. He wanted to show humanity that it's not about being flawless to speak YAHWEH's flawless word. Though we are not perfect, THE GOSPEL WE PREACH IS!

We must be very careful when we speak our opinion over our lives and around others instead of the Truth of YAHWEH.

We can set the course of people's lives ablaze by speaking against YAHWEH's plan and YAHWEH's true prophets. Even when we don't agree, we should find the reason for our discrepancy in the bible not in our head.

1. After all, our opinion is not of YAHWEH if it's considered OUR opinion:

• 2 Peter 2:2-3; “And a great number will go with them in their evil ways, through whom the true way will have a bad name. And in their desire for profit they will come to you with words of deceit, like traders doing business in souls:”
