YAHWEH IS CLEARING OUT YOUR SPIRITUAL ENEMIES

MATTHEW 10:12-14 (AMP); “As you go into the house, give it your greeting (that is, ‘Peace be to this house’). If (the family living in) the house is worthy (welcoming you and your message), give it your (blessing of) peace (that is, a blessing of well-being and prosperity, the favor of GOD). But if it is not worthy, take back your blessing of peace. Whoever does not welcome you, nor listen to your message, as you leave that house or city, shake the dust (of it) off your feet (in contempt, breaking all ties).”

Make no mistake about it, if YAHWEH promises us something, and makes a covenant with us, it’s going to happen unless we ignore His instructions or give up or in first. Our circumstances don’t matter, and the problems that we’re currently facing don’t matter, but our obedience to His WORD definitely matters. Having said that, let me tell you there are going to be times when you wonder what’s going on, simply because we may not be able to perceive that YAHWEH is working in and through our lives to manifest His precious promises.

During these times, it’s critical to understand there is definitely an enemy waiting in the shadows hoping to knock us off course and frustrate us so that we NEVER manifest YAHWEH’s promises!

YAHWEH miraculously delivered the children of Israel from Egyptian bondage, and His promises were confirmed through signs and wonders finally the persistence paid off and the children of Israel were marching out of tyranny into freedom, destined for the Promised Land as His promises were manifested. The children of Israel encountered some adversity in their journey to freedom and abundance. They may have felt dismayed but nothing they did altered the Promises of YAHWEH.

His goal was the same as in the beginning. They may have wondered. They may have wavered. They may have disobeyed.

1. They may have limited and frustrated YAHWEH, but HE never wavered when it came to His promises: Exodus 34:10-12; “And GOD said, "As of right now, I'm making a covenant with you: In full sight of your people I will work wonders that have never been created in all the Earth, in any nation. Then all the people with whom you're living will see how tremendous GOD's work is, the work I'll do for you. Take careful note of all I command you today. I'm clearing your way by driving out Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. Stay vigilant. Don't let down your guard lest you make a covenant with the people who live in the land that you are entering, and they trip you up.”

We’re entitled to the same blessings as the children of Israel, because we, too, are heirs to the promises, the covenant YAHWEH made with our forefathers. His desire is for us to march out of debt (Egypt) and into the Promised Land (financial independence).

YAHWEH promises to accompany us on our journey if we obey His instructions and stay faithfully on the right path. The children of Israel had to deal with the six peoples (spirits) listed in Exodus 34:10. Each sought to prevent them from manifesting the covenant Promises of YAHWEH.

What the Children of Israel experienced in the natural stands as our spiritual example.

1. 1 Corinthians chapter 10 is written about the many things that happened to Israel in the wilderness and verse 11 says: “Now all these things happened unto them for examples: and they are written for our admonition.”

It’s time for us to expose and deal with these six spirits whose purpose is to hinder us from entering our Promised Land.

1. If you’re dealing with financial stress, it can be traced back to these six spirits:

• First, the Canaanite Spirit wants to keep you mentally depressed, financially busted, and without hope: The ultimate intent of this spirit is to keep us from achieving what YAHWEH has planned for us. This spirit wants us humiliated by debt and addicted to the spirit of greed, a spirit which likes to keep people from receiving their rightful inheritance. It’s time to get real. Every time we spend less than we earn, follow the budget/spending plan and refuse to fall for seductive advertising because we fend off the spirit of greed that’s circling us like a hawk about to make a dive for our wallets or credit cards. The spirit of greed knows how to entice our flesh to buy “stuff” that we don’t need and may not even be able to afford. Greed is addictive and it has an insatiable appetite, and its end game is to humiliate us financially!

With YAHWEH’s help we need to break the spirit of greed out of our lives along with the spirit of debt and lack!

I’m always amazed that the children of Israel developed a “what’s in it for me” attitude on their journey from bondage to freedom. Talk about ingratitude. Every time their circumstances wavered, so did their faith, but remember that the enemy will do what he can to lure us back to a lifestyle of debt and lack.

1. He wants us to look to everything and everybody else but YAHWEH!

• Deuteronomy 7:25-26 (AMP): “You shall burn the carved and sculpted images of their gods in the fire. You shall not covet the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves so that you will not be ensnared by it (in a deadly trap), for it is an abomination (repulsive) to the LORD your GOD. You shall not bring an abomination (idol) into your house, and like it come under the ban (doomed to destruction); you shall utterly detest and you shall utterly hate it, for it is something banned.”

• Galatians 5:16 in the New Living Translation says: “So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.”

• Galatians 6:7 in the Amplified Bible says: “Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; GOD will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside). (He inevitably deludes himself who attempts to delude GOD). For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.”

"You Canaanite Spirit, I bind you. I bind your powers from operating against me to steal from me or block creative money-making ideas or block creative thoughts from reaching me. I command you to loose every money-making thought that you have stolen from me or blocked from me, in the Name of Yeshua. Proverbs 6: 31 promises that if the thief is found, he must repay sevenfold. I claim seven ideas for every idea you stole from me and I bind you and cancel every attack against me now in Yeshua’s Mighty Name, Amen."

• Second, the Hittite Spirit is one of dread and fear: As a Child of YAHWEH and rightful heir to a financial inheritance, we’ve got to know that the enemy will try to tempt us, spiritually, emotionally, and physically to take us off track. The enemy has no power over a Born-Again Believer that the believer doesn’t give him, but he does have three abilities; the ability to deceive, accuse and tempt!

If we check the caller ID before answering every phone call to determine whether or not a bill collector is calling, then we’re living in fear and doubt!

If we pray before opening the mailbox dreading more past-due bills, then you know what I’m talking about!

Fear and dread don’t want to leave our lives, they desire to be our constant companion; however, we’ve got the WORD and the power over every attack of the enemy. You must continue to resist this spirit and it will have to flee. When it comes back, make it plain that it is not welcome and can no longer torment us!

Stand strong and it will have to leave. We are not to have the spirit of fear!

1. Romans 8:15 in the New International Version says: “For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him, we cry, "Abba, Father.”

According to the WORD of YAHWEH, we don’t have to live in dread because we live in hope of His glory. Quote scripture to the spirit of fear until it leaves you alone.

1. Romans 5:5 in the Amplified Bible says: “Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for GOD's love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.”

Trusting in YAHWEH's plan for our finances takes us out of hopelessness because the Hittite spirit wants to entrap us mentally. When we’re bombarded with negatives, start rejoicing!

First, it means we’re breaking free or the spirit would not be telling us “we can’t!”

Second, YAHWEH inhabits the praises of His people and the spirit of dread and fear cannot stay in that environment.

YAHWEH will never disappoint us regardless of our financial circumstances.

1. Remember, Joseph was in prison one day and the next he was in the palace as second only to Pharaoh himself: “You Hittite spirit, I bind you and your powers from operating against me to break me or to cause me to fear. The activities of doubt and unbelief are bound in my life, in Jesus’ name. I command you to loose me from fear and the spirit of fear. All your assignments for my life are brought to naught. And therefore, I am free, in Yeshua’s name. "

• Third, the Ammonite Spirit is a false voice; one that is accusing and speaking against us: Revelation 12:10-11 says: “And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation and strength, and the Kingdom of our GOD, and the power of His Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our GOD day and night. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony, and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

1. Scripture confirms we do have an adversary to contend with: 1 Peter 5:8 says: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour.”

The enemy will seek to destroy your finances so he can render us ineffective for the Kingdom of YAHWEH.

The enemy will tempt us into making unwise purchases, he will deceive us into believing we can afford the purchase, but once we’ve messed up, he will accuse us of not having any willpower, trying to convince us that there is NO way out of our situation. The devil cannot devour the faithful in Yeshua Hamshiach (Messiah/Christ)!

1. Those who flatly resist him as the Bible directs, cannot be touched by the devil:

• 1 Corinthians 10:13 says; “There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but GOD is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”

1. Those who battle with the devil as Children of YAHWEH are more than conquerors:

• Romans 8:37 (AMP); “Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us (so much that He died for us).”

We can defeat him every time he tries to slither into our lives, and the only way the enemy will defeat you financially or any other way is if you allow him to.

1. The devil can’t destroy our future once we dismiss his presence in our past:

• Luke 10:18-20 (AMP); He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like (a flash of) lightning. Listen carefully: I have given you authority (that you now possess) to tread on serpents and scorpions, and (the ability to exercise authority) over all the power of the enemy (Satan), and nothing will (in any way) harm you. Nevertheless, do not rejoice at this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are recorded in heaven.”

1. “You Amorite spirit, I bind you and your power from operating against me and causing me to slander or to entice me to babble and rebel and talk about other people, in Yeshua’s name. You will cease and desist from sowing thoughts of discord and division into my mind. You will not bring condemnation to paralyze me in Yeshua's name. I am free from your slander, from your babbling and talking and rebelling and bitterness and division and sowing discord, in Yeshua's Name. "

• Fourth, the Pezzerite Spirit is a squatter spirit, one without walls, one that will seek to dispossess us of what belongs to us: It’s generally a lack of discipline that opens a person to this type of attack. Unfortunately, when it comes to financial planning, even on a daily basis because most people lack control over their money and for that matter, their lives. Sadly, in the last 40 + years, we’re witnessing an unprecedented surge in bankruptcies, ruined credit reports, and foreclosures. There was a time when people were prudent about managing their finances but now, they spend more time juggling their payments and credit card balances.

1. I want you to write down this next sentence and repeat it over and over until it becomes engrafted in you: “My financial destiny is directly affected by how I manage my money today.”

When it comes to financial discipline, it’s taught at home, one way or another. Children will either learn to save, refuse impulse buying and emotional spending, or they will face continual financial ruin!

Most people who end up in financial trouble have not realized that saying “no” to spending is saying “yes” to a better, peaceful, and more financially successful future. Lack of discipline in any area of life will shorten and diminish what could have been, it will rob our spiritual inheritance right out from under our noses!

Short-term gratification should never be traded for long-term financial success.

1. Job 5:17 in the New Living Translation says: “But consider the joy of those corrected by GOD! Do not despise the discipline of the Almighty when you sin.”

Listen, you Perizzite spirit, according to John 10:10, the thief cometh not but for to kill, to steal, and to destroy. Proverbs 6:31 says if I find a thief, he must restore to me sevenfold what was stolen. You have been found. You will no longer cause me to dwell in an un-walled city. You will no longer steal or dispossess from me what I have built up in Yeshua's name. So, I take back everything you have stolen in the name of Jesus and I declare that I am prospering and everything in the Book belongs to me. In Yeshua's Name. Amen.*

• Fifth, the Hivite Spirit is one of wickedness and deception: The children of Israel were deceived into taking their eyes off YAHWEH just because things weren’t going the way they planned. They reverted to rebellion and trusted their own timing, and their understanding of how things should go. Like children, they looked to what had been comfortable in the past not to the promise of the future. As long as things were easy and YAHWEH was miraculously moving them ahead, they would follow. But if their journey slowed a pace or two, so did their faith. We may go through a financial test of faith and turn to YAHWEH for answers. If we hear a good message on stewardship or if the economy takes a dive, we head for spiritual safety and beg YAHWEH for help.

When things balance out and we gain a financial hold, we can’t afford to turn again to trust in our own abilities. The truth is that good circumstances are only an illusion of security and bad circumstances are only an illusion of insecurity. Trusting in what we see, or feel is standing on shaky ground, but standing on the Word is rock solid!

We cannot be swayed by daily circumstances.

1. Romans 8:28 says: “And we know that GOD causes all things to work together for good to those who love GOD, to those who are called according to His purpose.”

1. Romans 4:21 in the New International Version says: “Being fully persuaded that GOD had the power to do what he had promised.”

“You Hivite spirit, I take authority over you in the Name of Yeshua. You will not bring deception or wickedness to me any longer. You will not seduce me to part with my money or some get-rich-quick scheme or some wrong deal. I command you to cease your activity in my life, in Yeshua’s name and I claim every dollar that I have spent or invested in schemes and wrong deals to come back to me, in Yeshua’s name.*

• Sixth, the Jebusite Spirit is one of heaviness, negativity, of being trampled down: Debt is evil, strangling YAHWEH's purpose and potential right away from us. We become slaves to debt and stuff. Debt leaves a legacy of defeat and impotence while it squanders the potential success and effectiveness of our lives as Believers!

And, after all, isn’t that exactly what the enemy wants?!

He offers the enticement of better things only to leave us in the desert looking around for anything that has any power to sustain our lives, so stop the working of the Spirit of Debt now.

1. Deuteronomy 1:21 in the New Living Translation says: “Look! He has placed the land in front of you. Go and occupy it as the LORD, the GOD of your ancestors, has promised you. Don’t be afraid! Don’t be discouraged!”

Are you ready to enter into a new dimension of your covenant with your Heavenly Father?

1. Consider the words again of Exodus 34:10-12; “And GOD said, "As of right now, I'm making a covenant with you: In full sight of your people I will work wonders that have never been created in all the Earth, in any nation. Then all the people with whom you're living will see how tremendous GOD's work is, the work I'll do for you. Take careful note of all I command you today. I'm clearing your way by driving out Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. Stay vigilant. Don't let down your guard lest you make a covenant with the people who live in the land that you are entering, and they trip you up.”

• Matthew 11:28-30 (AMP) says: “Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy-laden and overburdened, and I will cause you to rest. (I will ease and relieve and refresh your souls). Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am gentle (meek) and humble (lowly) in heart, and you will find rest (relief and ease and refreshment and recreation and blessed quiet) for your souls. For My yoke is wholesome (useful, good--not harsh, hard, sharp, or pressing, but comfortable, gracious, and pleasant), and My burden is light and easy to be borne.”

1. Here is a confession to deal with the Jebusite spirit: “You Jebusite spirit, according to Matthew 11:28-30, I take authority over you. You spirit of heaviness; you will not operate against me any longer. You will no longer tread me under your feet or attack my emotions with negativity. You will not attempt to sap my confidence or my strength any longer. I command you to cease and desist from instigating the feeling of resignation or quitting in my life, in Yeshua’s name. Your powers are broken now, in the Name of Yeshua."

YAHWEH is ready to do tremendous work in and for us!

He will clear out all the “ites” but we must stay vigilant!

Don’t let down your guard and don’t get lured into debt or unwise expenditures!

Put Him first and He will clear a path for us on our journey to the debt-free lifestyle.

1. In conclusion of this teaching, I came up with seven things for us to do as YAHWEH clears out our spiritual enemies:

• First, visualize your life as you want it to be, not as it is.

• Second, create a confession for the kind of life you want to live.

• Third, stay in the Word. When trouble strikes, stay in the Word. When doors of opportunity open, stay in the Word.

• 
  

• Fourth, create a mental iron shield over your mind, to deflect negative, sinful and self-defeating thoughts.

• 
  

• Fifth, give no place to past failures or sin, preventing them from building new strongholds.

• 
  

• Sixth, in addition, to the Bible, read other spiritual books, listen to spiritual CDs and podcasts that will re-enforce what you’re thinking and where you want to go.

• 
  

• Seventh, journal the ups and downs of your journey and how you overcame every attack of your spiritual enemies.

I WOULD RATHER BE UNCOMFORTABLE IN YESHUA...THEN COMFORTABLE WITH SATAN!!
